Kingswood is a place where academic excellence is one important part of our commitment to offer a broad and balanced education to every girl and boy. As a busy boarding and day school we offer a staggering range of co-curricular opportunities, celebrating both cultural and sporting achievement. We love the fact that our boys and girls get to explore the surrounding countryside, walking it’s meadows, moorlands and coastline with friends from all over the world. Our pupils learn as much outside the classroom as they do within it, and I can think of no more inspiring and secure place for our children to grow, to reflect on their experiences, and to leave us ready to influence the world.
Kingswood School promotes confidence and open-mindedness along with creativity and a spirit of enquiry. Our pupils’ academic achievement takes place within the context of all-round personal development, and students excel on a personal level while also making a real difference to others.
Offering a home-away-from-home atmosphere and boarding from the age of 7, support for working parents are very much part of the Kingswood ethos. Offering early-morning breakfast, late stay with supper or the option to board overnight in one of our warm and cosy boarding houses, parents know their children are surrounded by friends and looked after by dedicated staff.
Academic results are consistently excellent. In recent years, Kingswood has been ranked in the top 5% nationally for added-value, and regularly placed in the top 10 co-educational boarding or boarding/day schools. In the most recent ISI Inspection, Kingswood School was rated as “excellent” in all nine categories of the inspection.
We believe that every individual has talents to be discovered and nurtured. With an extensive co-curricular programme offering over 100 activities, our pupils achieve astonishing successes as they constantly progress well beyond their natural potential.
We understand that choosing a school for your child is one of the most important decisions you will make. Please do come and visit us for either an individual visit or for one of open events where you will be warmly welcomed.
